My brother wants to do something with his life. I rescued him from the hell he was making for himself in Las Vegas. I could really use him to open up a second office in a town not far from me, but he needs to learn how to use a camera. Karma and my brother are both living with me for the time being, so Karma volunteered to pose for him and let him learn. These photos were taken just a few minutes ago and it's the very first time he's shot with studio lights. I told him that most people that want to take photos don't frame the models correctly, told him a little about shutter speed and f-stops, then handed him the camera and walked away. Here are his first shots. They are unretouched, with the exception of being resized and branded. This is how the photos came out of the camera. They're just a tad too dark, but I'm very impressed for his first time using professional equipment. Maybe he has a future!

A little too unsaturated, overall... the colors ain't poppin'... but that is something that is easy to fix, especially if they all have the same issue. Just batch them to a reasonable level, then do individual touchups.
Not bad, the framing is decent.

I'm really impressed. This really is his first time touching anything but one of those disposable cameras. I just TOLD him what to do... I didn't stick around to show him.Comment

When I first started I must have been a total fucking idiot. Even with professional equipment my photos looked like shit until Brian from Wanton came up and showed me what I was doing wrong.Comment

**I** walked away. I explained what to do and then walked away and let him start shooting, just to see how he did.Comment

Before the next time you walk away, tell him to get his subject looking right into the lens...Comment

Looks really good for someone first picking up a camera, looks alot better than some of the crap that comes in from overseas.

equipment is important.... but the models have to be photogenic. If you can't get a good pose then all the pics look like shit.SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

he does a good job - 2 or 3 shootings with some guidance and you can retire.
