Actually its pretty much the ORIGINAL religion although I dont think they called it that(Wiccan) back then, not really sure. This stuff pre dates Christianity and like most things non christian they villified these practices way back when Christianity was trying to get its start. Thats why if you ask most people on the street what a pagan is and the first words out of their mouth will probably be Satan Worshipper. Although I doubt there are any real true practitioners, mostly wannabes looking for a change, since the great "Christian Propaganda Machine" did a good job of wiping them out. But I suppose why you see mostly women practitioners is because alot if not all of there religion is centered around the Sacred Feminine. This is just my
