Why do surfers cancel?

Curious; 1022 trial signs ups so far in August, 460 cancellation.
Reasons,
71% Satisfied customer
17% Unsatisfied with content
12% Misc., speed, only trial, and terms.

I have a fascination with these stats. How much emphasis and or attention do you pay to them, and what do you feel is a good ratio?

I think it's pretty much a knee-jerk reaction by now to cancel as soon as you finish signing up. I know I've learned my lesson a few times over. Gr.

they cancel cuz they just wanna get inside and see what u got to offer! they try to download as much as possible in 3 days or so and then jerk off 3 months or so!

Have you tried sending a followup email to the "satisfied" ones? Refer them to anothe site of yours or another site (with refcode) to another program? Maybe they just got bored of the content or are looking for something different.

The old Bait and switch routine normally makes them cancel.

Site teasers reel them into the site, and they that is all the site really offers.

Our sites are just 10 bucks a month, they get 2 new girls per week which is a mission for us to get new content.

And they stay for awhile, around 5 months right now and then they bounce for now reason.

We give them every oppertunity to tell us what they want, but these guys jack off and leave.

I wish it was like magazine subscriptions where they buy for the year. Out of all the joins we have had less than 5% join for a year, we do get a good amount of 6 month members though.

One thing I have learn't in all the years, don't get comfortable, keep improving your product.

Some tips for better rebills

1. Build more sites and give your member access to all
2. Buy exclusive content
3. Update on time and let them know when like

Monday is picture day
Wednesday is picture day
Friday is special movie day because weekend is coming

4. Make your member area personal, tell them you're a girl and you want them to email you about there sex lifes
5. Protect your movies by streaming them, so they cant join for 3 dollar and download all your movies
6. I think this 5 tips are enough for now

Have you seen inside many paysites? Most are utter crap!

And many sponsors use prechecked upsells.

I'd say these are the two main reasons for cancellations.

One very important thing is not only to offer something, but it has to be cool content, innovative, every time updated.
The you hace to track what works for you and replace for new things.
Apart from that you need to keep running a good marketing campaign to keep up all your sites.

Update......I think this is the only good reason why a member would stay if he can download everything.......He might stay if he knows that when he come back, plenty of new video and picture will be there waiting for him.....

Most people will choose trial because they want much content for less money and download as much as possible before they cancel.

If the member area isn't that good most will cancel too of course.

For many people a one girl a month update isn't enough to leave a 25-30 bucks membership going.

I rememebr pay $5 to rent ONE porno at teh damn video store. Now every complains abot $40 a month. Hell that's was a week-end's worth of videos to me.
