    Galleries for your TGP Sites

    I make galleries for my site, and I submit them to TGP's and some boards that allow the submittal.

    I was wondering if they are good enough or the type for any of your sites to get a partner with.

    Anyone? Also let me know what to do to improve them and make them more friendly if not already.

                      Look at other TGP galleries, and develop a gallery similar to theirs.

                          The basic layout looks ok, if not a little plain... I would firstly reduce the maximum number of pics to about 16, and also try cropped thumbnails (where you crop an area of the full image and save a fixed dimension thumbnail). This way you can show more detail in the thumb, and the table looks more consistent because the thumbs are all the same width+height.

                                          They probably exist, but the best way is to do it manually. Cropping 16 thumbs will probably only take you a few minutes.

                                                  Take rowan's advice.

                                                  Simple always works best. You want to impress the user with the content, not millions of ads.

                                                  Surfers won't even look at the ads even when they're right in their face. The attention goes right to the content. So you want to make the content as high quality as possible to really impress them. Both the thumbnails and the full sized images should be the best quality possible while not giving away too much and not chewing up too much BW either.

                                                  Then throw in one animated gif, or a big text link right below the content that basically says "For more pics like this come on inside!"

                                                  A little bit of unobtrusive text to build up the surfer's expectations and fantasy a little can help too.. but most surfers won't read it... so don't go all out .. one short paragraph max.

                                                  That's pretty much the formula for a gallery. Leave in some room to throw 3 recip links at the top .. and you're set to go.

                                                  You don't need a lot of design experience either .. this guy submits to me a lot and his galleries are plain and simple .. yet do the trick:

                                                              First go back on the pages and read every thread ever posted and learn from them, than find the search page and search for what are looking for.

                                                              If you still cant find out how to make a decent gal, go on 100 tgps and check each and everyone of their galleries to get a sense of what gets listed.

                                                              ANd if you still cant put together something decent, than open an Ebay account, auction off your computer and do something else.

                                                                          I'm redoing my Galleries right now, I just got one girls galleries done. I'm going to be doing them all. I took out all the bs that you guys talked about, I think.

                                                                          I added a JS so that I could easily add RECIPS to the top of the page and just call them using the JS. But I hear that TGPs won't allow the JS? This true?

                                                                          If so, that really sucks, because I'll have to go back thru and edit all those fuckin galleries over and over again.

                                                                                                      30 TGPs would take 10 include files.

                                                                                                      I use a lot of perm galleries myself. If I find one of them not listing or sending traffic, his recip gets jerked off 100 pages in a blink.

Any better than before?

                                                                                                                                      I have only one counter, I need that to see when and where i'm listed from.

                                                                                                                                      I only have 2 links going to my sponsor. Text and banner. That's it. I use only one banner per gallery.

                                                                                                                                      I think it will be 200% better with paidhost... and then just changing up the templates, which i'll work on later today.
