Now I'm not one of those Anti War liberals. I think War is a necessity when it comes to defending American interests.....but I think going into Vietnam was a stretch to say it was an American interest.
Oh well. Our own government is moving slowly moving into a Police State....and it won't be stopped unless drastic changes are made.

I am old so I will not be around to see the USA become a true Police State, but I tend to agree with your statement about our country slowly becoming a Police State. Our freedoms are being whittled away. In another twenty-forty years I am afraid it will not resemble the USA I grew up in. In fact it barely resembles "that USA" even now.
It was about twenty years ago that I read, between city, county, state and federal laws, we had more than 10 million ordinances and laws on the books nationally. I don't know how any country with that many ordinances and laws can truly call themselves a free country. As I stated that was about twenty years ago, I am sure that I don't want to know the current figure.
