and Pure Marketing Solutions LLC of Miami and Internet Matrix Technology of New Orleans will together pay $50,000, the FTC said.
they got off easy, only 50k compared to the others, 650k, 238k and 220k

      Often times I wonder why
There's love and hate, theres live or die.
When sickness comes I must decide:
      When feelings go, theres suicide.

MikeAI got out of adult awhile back. I believe Purecash was sold. Do a search. There was a thread about this, if I am not mistaken.

Spam is the only thing that can and will make my blood boil every single time I turn my computer on. I'm willing to wager that those fines are hardly enough to deter anyone, though.

Civil lawsuits/fines are no big deal to the companies. They are lucky there are no criminal charges. With that said, spam should be a civil matter and not criminal. The law and justice system is backwards. There's murderers and rapists getting off with less time than someone who advertises to refinance you rmortgage in someone's inbox. Insane.

I'm not a mailer but yes it does outrage me to see society and the government more accepting of violent criminals than of someone who sends advertisements. The time just doesn't fit the crime. They can make it a civil matter all they want, they have every right to... it's all about money anyway, but the criminal punishment is absurd and unfair.
