                                                                It looks exactly like auto-pilot to me. What percentage of the population even bothers to vote? Why was there no public debate or mass-dissent about the absurdity of Iraq-AlQueda link?

                                                                Our democracy is like some bizarro-world beauty pagent;
                                                                you take your family on tour and get a thousand hours of footage of you all with your arms around eachother, stand behind a podium shaking your thumb (just the way you practiced for hours in front of the mirror), while droneing on about how wonderful it is to have jobs and children - hopefully using the word "faith" and "values" more often than your rival. Print a lot of signs with uncontroversial optimistic 3-5 word phrases and get your favorite slogan painted on the side of your bus or plane.

                                                                Once that petty popularity-contest is over, prettymuch everyone tunes out for the next few years; content to let these questionably-qualified people make every important decision, accepting of whatever these questionably-motivated people care to tell them.

The whole international community is clearly not interested in "helping Bush, Kerry or America"! WTF has it got to do with other countries? Bush acted on his own and mouthed off all others - and ended up in the shit - that is his problem. It has little to do with the French or anyone else - they never elected him.

                                                                                                                                                    It appears the only "support" Bush has is around 50% of the US population - the other 50% and the rest of the world have heard enough of the Crawford Village Idiot and have little interest...

                                                                                                                                                                                                    And for those who do hate France and the french, i've tried to figure out why !

                                                                                                                                                                                                    I believe that those americans that can't stop spitting on France didn't learn their History too well.
                                                                                                                                                                                                    Maybe they should consider reading some articles about what happened in Chesapeake Bay in 1781 for example. They may be surprised
