    I dont understand how people who shoot their own content could be broke

    A peice of porn can be used over and over again. all over the net, inside sites, pay per view, magazines, for years and years. Its like an endless investment.
    When you have your own adult movies, aren't you sitting on a goldmine?

                                          distribution/exposure
                                          and a huge one is COMPETITION.

                                          Your pictures are not worth the film they are on if no one wants to give you what you want for them, the good thing about a capitalistic society is there is probably someone out there willing to do it for cheaper. Well good for you and yours, not so much for them.
