Last night was one of those nights I desperately wanted to be single. I spent about 6 hours doing galleries, and she kept coming and asking me when I'd be done. "You've been doing this for so long, and I just want to go swimming with you, and get some food before bed". I said I'd be done shortly. Hour later, she comes in again, and starts crying on my bed. I told her not to freak out, I just needed to get all the submitting done.

Fast forward a few hours, and she said she wanted me to come to bed ASAP. I told her that I really didn't feel like it at the moment, and she gets up and is pouring tears, saying 'what happened to the man who loved me? what happened to the man I loved?'. I'm like WTF does that have to do with anything? I just want to watch some TV, and surf a little, before I go to sleep.

So I told her I'd go get her some Midol or something before bed, cause apparently her period is making her crazy. She assured me that it wasn't her period, and she's blocking me from leaving. I'm like, yeah right! So I took off, and then she comes down stairs and is crying profusely, begging me to come to bed. Jesus women can be nuts sometimes!

She's not normally so psycho. I'm thinking it's her period. Is this normal?!?!

Contrary to what your woman will scream and yell at you while she's on her rag, yes, some of them do have a change in personality.

My wife sometimes gets super sappy, other times it doesn't affect her at all.

SOMETIMES she turns into a raging bitch for 4 days.

(I can get away with saying that right now because she doesn't read GFY-I hope, because she's on her rag right now).

I don't get that bad but ocassionally I do get extra emotional around that time. The worst thing is when you know you are being irrational but you can't stop it.

I don't know if other women can but I usually can tell. I am a bit odd since I don't have normal cycles so they just pop up now and then and it is then it is a huge surge of hormones hitting me at once. I get a hair trigger and I know some of the things I am reacting to aren't really worth the stress but I can't make myself not react.

I am the same way. I always can tell when I am going to start because I will be sitting anywhere just cursing someone in my head LOL Then I catch myself and say okay chill the fuck out. I am pretty good at stopping it. You can control it once you recognize it. Plus the older you get the easier it is to catch because you have had more experience with it so you tend to not be so bitchy and relax. That is one thing that makes an older woman so great. But the thing I don't understand is why when she wants to go swimming you say no, ignore her or lie to her by saying you will be done shortly when you know you won't. Then later you want to go swimming when she wants to go to bed. I am thinking maybe you don't care for her too much or you are trying to be an ass and make her miserable. I get that way sometimes where it's totally out of control and I know it is but I can't help myself. It's like standing outside of my body, watching a stranger. But lucky for me, my other half totally gets me at that time of the month. He says, "oh sweetie,it's period week, isn't it?" and that believe it or not has a calming effect because I know he understands. It's not like that all the time but when it is I know I am behaving that way.

Try having one and then tell us it is an excuse. The person that described it as standing outside your body watching a stranger got the feeling I have exactly right.
