I hate it when someone messages me with "Are you there?"
Just say what it is you want. Say it. Spit it out, I'll get it when I get it and respond. Why do I have to be there for you to say what it is you want?
Or idiots who say "Hey" with their first message to you. Wtf is that?

Yes, some things are better said when the person is on, but you can still tell them what the gist of it is instead of saying "you there?"
