I mostly use the VX2100 nowadays. Love the light weight and that flip out screen! Great in low light too for spontaneous or documentary style footage. I also have filmed many, many movies with my five year old Canon XL-1. That camera has some great features that the Sony VX2100 does not have. For example, the frame mode (gives kind of a film look to the footage), interchageable lenses, and the ability to *simultaneously* record three sources of audio (4 channels total), two in stereo from the on camera mic to get ambient audio and two more mono channels from independent handheld mics or lavs to isolate dialog from multiple actors.
