Hopkins loses a close decision grrr

    20 title defenses.
    11 years on top.
One of the greatest middleweights in the history of the division.

He landed more punches, NEVER got hit with a clean shot, and had Taylor hurt badly for the last four rounds and LOSES THE DECISION??

Where is the respect? I feel sick...

Just a case of the younger guy getting the nod for money reasons. The judges are always dirty

        taylor clearly won more rounds.
        simple math.

even though one of the judges was obvioulsly on crack.... the right guy won.

I hear you guys talking about how judges need to respect a boxer's tenure with belts, and I agree. But Hopkins sleepwalked through the first 8 rounds, I gave him one of them, I believe the 5th, but other than that he lost every damn round due to inactivity and lack of effectiveness.

He didn't even start letting those very effect lead-hand rights go until round 8, too late.

I didn't like the decision, but I'm not outraged either.

              My exact scorecard:

Interestingly, the judge with the least title fight experience in his belt scored the final round for Taylor according to Lampley, and had he scored it as the other two judges had for Hopkins, that would have allowed him to retain the titles.
