    DVD to AVI or MPEG?

Videocharge seems to be as slow as hell... what program do you use to convert DVD to AVI or MPEG?

Dazzle Multimedia has some good hardware / software solutions. Allows you to capture from DVD, VHS, TV, etc, etc. $100 - 200

I have yet to find a solution that will rip a few of the dvds I haven't ripped yet without serious audio lag. Taking a look at the suggestions here...

I've tried 123 DVD Converter and DVD to Avi and they both suck. Both of 'em give an initialization error after waiting 10 hour to encode.

Before blaming the software, better look at your hardware first...video editing is a fuckin monster. Get more ram or a faster processor, and dedicate a whole drive to video editing...set up a dual boot on the motherfucker and put nothing on it but the editing software and the os.

                FlaskMPEG.

                Nothing else comes close.

Thanks Ganja, I'm gonna try that now.

I just got a sony dvd camera, and haven't found anything that didn't do the audio lag.
