Honestly,
I think what makes you a player in this industry is just that, how well you play the game..
If you are able to get out there, network, make important decisions (the right ones), get shit done, and you can get in with people easily who are willing to help you out along the way and that help that you get from those people makes you an asset then that makes you a player.. In chess without certain pieces in the game there is no chance to protect your King and Queen...
Having a giant wallet does not mean you are a player in my opinion, because there are plenty of people out here that do not know shit and have made money off the real assets in their company..
Player is a whole attitude anyways... But when it gets down to it in the end you gotta be willing to walk the walk as well..
