Norwegians invented the cheese-slicer. That and binder clips. Yay!
We have that pan in my house back in Norway, but I have no idea what it is. It hangs in the kitchen, and I think it's just for decoration or something.

ah ok cool didnt know, that pan is a poffertjespan, its used to make poffertjes, small pancakes, we serve them with real butter and sugar like some ppl eat cake. On fairgrounds they always have a poffertjeskraam, its an old wooden building with typical colors where they used to sell these small pancakes, they dont exist anymore, i know ones in Gouda and thats bout it.
I think that has something to do with butter. Or cheese. To make the cheese/butter get funky looking shapes.
thats to warm your feet my granny had one, its an oak box where youd put a lil bowl in with charcoal to put it under the table during dinner or in the livingroom.
In the 20s most of the houses had 2 rooms and a slidingdoor, to prevent heatloss, since they all had charcoal heating. If you were poor or didnt wanna heat the whole house this was to keep your feet warm.
