Its tough I know. I lost 3 cats within 2 years to cancer (yes its odd but none of the types of cancer were related just plain bad luck). 13, 12, and 11 years old.
With each cat I held them in my arms when they were put to rest. The days after were dark and depressing.
You may think you are crazy. Some people will say "its just a cat" but don't sweat it. There is a ton of people that know how you feel.
RIP to your kitty.
