Thanks Easton, I actually went in to get the 1Ds but they didn't have any in stock. When the guy asked me what I would be using the camera for I told him that I'd be taking naked photos of my wife. He said he thought the 1Ds would be "a bit of an overkill for such purposes". I think he just wanted to make a sale vs taking the chance that when I came back for a 1Ds someone else would pick up the commission instead.
