Mine started daycare last year - to see her all grown up and biting her thumb as she walked down the stairs not knowing her surroundings & nervous was enough to kill me for the day. For her, the first day was great but the entire month after that was crying 7 hours non-stop. She loves the place now!

The first day of school is always tough though. My wife and I are worse than the kids.
I usually have to stay a majority of the first day for my son though because of his SM and teaching his teacher to sign. He has a couple friends in his class this year though, so I might not have to stick around as longComment
