My new Dell just shipped this morning. I dread the thought of re-installing all my software and settings, but my P2 (yes TWO) which was anyway cobbled together from bits from various expired machines, has been throwing fits for months.
I would probably have lived with that because I'm really not into replacing hardware so long as it actually fires up. But without XP (which my box won't support) there are getting to be too many other programs I need and cannot run.Comment

I recently bought a Dell I had to send it back because it kept restarting for no apparent reason.
Even after I Formated C:\ and reinstalled windows.
It must of been a hardware problem.
Formatting C:\ is the first thing I do to a computer after getting it from a company like Dell or Gateway.
It's the fastest way to remove all the default crap they put on there.7Comment
