Although it would benefit some countries, I can only really see negative effects if it was released in a country like Africa. Ok so millions less people die from AIDS, the people and country can't sustain itself at the moment, it wont stand a snow balls chance in hell if they get rid of AIDS.

I know that sounded incredibly harsh, but it's the truth.
Besides if we do manage to get rid of AIDS, another virus will start spreading.
