i think i heard that if you put a wet towel or a cup of water in the area they tend to go to it

Dude, you will NEVER find that cricket. I keep geckos and feed them crickets. Every now and then I get an escapee from the tank -- and I hear the trill of little cricket legs for months! I guess I should have said get ear-plugs. Good luck!
