Whatever happened to Ernesto Hoost? I thought Crocop was unstoppable until he lost to hoost. In the fine opinions of fight fans on here, how would have Hoost fared in the UFC in his prime?

Hoost is still fighting in K1, Crocop is fighting in PrideFC

Hoost fights for K1, he's a kickboxer not a MMA fighter

That Pride show was awesome. I wish Sakuraba/Igor would've fared better.

Hoost wouldn't done okay in the earlier days of the UFC but to compete today, he'd have to learn ground technique or at least takedown defense in order to do OK in MMA.

pretty lame show. a C- imo.

the only great fight was shogun/nog. i thought rua deserved a close decision. he got rocked a few times but his dominance on takedowns, good damage from nog's guard, complete neutralization of subs and especially that late knockdown secured it for him.

Who Sergei Kharitonov? Yes I watch all pridefc and ufc events.

be serious. rizzo is finished as a top-tier fighter. kharitonov, who got outstruck by minotauro of all people, put on a standup clinic against pedro and you want to see him in there against mirko?

you don't think kharitonov can't face crocop? i think he has the skills... you gotta remember when he fought nog he was still fresh in pride... no heavyweight in ufc could knock up kharitonov...

the wording of your previous post made it seem like you were referring to rizzo. yeah i think sergei could hang with mirko and i'd love to see it happen. i'd go with sergei if i could get some sort of guarantee that he'd come in with a proper gameplan. but something tells me he'd try to slug it out and that would not be wise.

after mirko/fedor in aug. sergei will probably get the loser or a rematch with mino to determine who gets the next shot at the title.
