please don't invest your hard earned money in random 4 letter domains. you will regret it. of course there's always the slim change that a company will want your 4letter domain because they need it for their abbreviation, but most likely you're throwing your money away. spend your $7 more wisely and go deep into the mines looking for gold. you'll find this hard to believe, but you'll have a better change selling 4-WORD domains than 4-letters.

First off, all good 4 letter combo's are taken

period.
And secondly, why to you is a 4 letter.com worth nothing, but a 3 letter.com worth say $1000-5000+- to a speculator and a 2 letter.com worth $20000-$50000+-.
I had maybe 90 of them at the most and they all got typein traffic.
Whether it be one two, five or ten uniques a day.
Plus, I made some average end user sales.
Mid 3 figures each.
So I put in $600ish in cash and I made around $2000 in 3 months after I sold some to end users and sold the rest to a speculator.

true. but you know how it is with someone just starting out, they'll go register mountains of 4-letter domains and be stuck with them. i'm sure you've bought/sold plenty of 4s.
plus newbies can spend their time mining deep veins and come out with gold. here's a few domains i got last 3 days for $6.50 each after networking at gfy and letting the gears spin:
