Bush blames God for hurricane charley

"One of the few downsides of living in paradise is that God gives us hurricanes from time to time," Mr. Bush said. "But it is still paradise."

"God doesn't follow the linear projections of computer models," Bush told
reporters here outside the emergency management center, whose roof caved in
during the hurricane. "This is God's way of telling us that he's almighty and we're mortal."

Hehe, i guess it worked for him. I seriously think he is doing the EXACT same thing that helped him win the Bible Belt states in the previous election. If it wasn't for the Bible Belt states, and his "vote bot" Algore would have had him by miles.

I don't think so. Addicts are always addicts, even if they're in treatment and not currently using. I suspect we'll find out a lot more about his substance abuse problems a decade or two after he leaves office. It's just so evident in his speech and behavior. That doesn't mean I think he's doing lines in the oval office; but these issues don't disappear just because the illegal drugs disappear - instead they simply manifest in different ways. I bet some aid is quite busy trying to keep the white house liquor cabinet stocked. I also wouldn't be suprised if he was on some heavy prescriptions too.
