Well the best would probably Fallsview Casino http://fallsviewcasinoresort.com. I think you can get away with a drivers license... If you have a passport bring it just incase.

We were looking for views, service, wireless fast access and found this to be our favorite.

I was at the Hilton I beleive and view is amazing. See the falls illuminated at night is great.
I suggest Canadian side, the whole place is like a museum with TONS of cool stuff to do.
Especially if you bring your kidsComment

FallsView Marriott is nice.. and they have some excellent chefs with excellent food. Not alot of the hotels have attractions outside of a bus to the casino... and if your kids are going with you... try MarineLand... just a few minutes north.. they'll love it.Comment

Like they say the Fallsview Casino is the newest and pretty central to everything

BTW, Gordon did say the Fallsview Casino http://fallsviewcasinoresort.com that Muff recommended will be within the Top 10 list the next time he updates.

Well that depends.. if your planning on staying on the Canadian side... then get a rental... if your staying on the US side and plan on just walking across to the Canadian side... you could get away with a few bus trips back and forth from Buffalo to the Falls.Originally posted by Chokerhmm, If I fly into Buffalo do I need a rental car?Comment

Wierd, the hotel told me you can't take a rental car from buffalo across the border into canada. Next week. It's a hour from Niagra falls I am being toldOriginally posted by kristinYes.

I can't really say as I've never tried to cross in a rental... BUT there are a TON of buses that cross over.Comment

Well that wasn't your question. ; )Originally posted by ChokerWierd, the hotel told me you can't take a rental car from buffalo across the border into canada. Next week. It's a hour from Niagra falls I am being told
You might not be able to ... but I'm not sure, I have never done the rental car thing there and I haven't gone across in quite some time either. I'm in Arizona now and don't go home too often.
I would assume it's like Mexico ... but again, I'm not sure. You get Mexican insurance and then you can go over. I think you'd just be able to get away with it too. They are pretty lax going over from what I remember. But again, I haven't been there in awhile, so I'm not sure how much they beefed up on security.Comment

oh and Buffalo is maybe 20 mins south/west of Niagara... NOT an hour.Comment
