I think the tone of GFY changed a while before pay per post came to be. I enjoy the interaction of the board, working from home I miss that but its not as serious of a business board as it was when I first got on it.Comment

It's not the ppp that's bad, it's the fucken idiots who have no life, do no other work, and spend 15-20 hours a day posting ignorant shit in every single post on the board, that ruins it.
I don't even have sigs turned on, so I have no clue who's being paid. PPP is fine. I think more of a selective process might need to be made if it continues. Some people post normal regardless of PPP, but others make their living off of their sig, which is sad.Comment

Definitely. That's really what I meant. I don't think ppp is bad. There are lots of people doing it properly. They post normally and I honestly have no clue who's getting paid. It's those dumbasses who take the ppp deal then post like a lobotomized retard 27/7, instead of actually doing any work, that ruin it. I thought it was ok because of the 5 word per post rule, but it's obviously being abused by a few people...I doubt they'll get paid though and it should be better next month if Lensman decides to run it again.

GFY was PPP once, then ARS sig whores turned it into shit and Lensman banned PPP. After that the situation somewhat improved.

I think the price on Pay per post for lensmans program will drop next month, but not be gone for good, because his program premiered this month, it was all over the board before its premier, and after its debut it continues to be all over the board for its first few weeks.
Lensman is one smart cookie and understands the value of marketing, yeah there are people pushing his sig for 30 cents per post that are kindof abusing it, but in the long run it doesnt matter because strangers wandering in and out will see that sig all over the board, in every thread, all the time, and thats the whole point behind it.
the majority of people who come here are looking to get into this business. to learn about what sponsors exist, how to build sites, traffic, etc...now odds are most of them will fail or just fuck off on the board but the numbers that do have low to moderate success, no matter how small, still add to his bottom line.
The advertising money from his banner spots alone pay all the sig costs I imagine, and this site is just a tool, a plaything for him, his real money is adult.com. Its all about that bottom line, and the 30 cents per post deal, on the eve of his new programs premier was a smart move, no matter how people choose to promote it, he wins. Go lensman
