so it's ok for someone to profit from content that they do not own? So I guess it would be ok for people to rip movies off DVD, upload them to a server then sell access to those movies? Give me a fucking break. Sure, there's no charge to access newsgroups. That's the point, it's free. No one is trying to make money off of content they are not allowed to be using. So the sponsor in your sig decided that "hey, it's free to access newgroups so why do we make money from this? lets charge people to get access to pics on newgroups that we're not allowed to use in the first place. Look at the money we'll save"
Just because access to newgroups is free it doesn't make the content on them "public domain". What the hell don't you understand about this? It's the same thing as getting access to a paysite, downloading all the content on it, making a website, uploading the content to your server and selling memberships to your site with stolen content. Whatever way you look at it, it's STOLEN content.
Funny how people will try to defend places like this till they're blue in the face. Of course, in most cases it's newbies that know shit about the biz or surfers looking for more porn. Now tell me this, how much of their profits are they giving to the people who OWN the content that they are making money from?
