Thanks for doing the research Fris, much appreciated. What do you think of Rackspace? I think I saw you posting good things about them before, just curious what you could find out about their operation.

i know you use them, much respect for rackspace, i used them a long time ago,yes they are more expensive, but you will get nothing but profesionals, people that know what is going on, the best bandwidth. you can trust your hosting with them. even if you have a dedicated server with them you will get your moneys worth, you wont have to worry about it, your server will be in good hands.
i remember back in the day when i was paying out the butt just for 80 gigs of transfer on a dedicated.
if you talk to anyone and mention the name rackspace. i am sure they will share the same thoughts.
they are listed on most webhost directories
Since 1999: 69 Adult Industry awards for Best Hosting Company and professional excellence.

You say you "have multiple datancenters", I think the proper wording would be that you USE MULTIPLE DATACENTERS...

no. rackspace dumped most of their good transit and started heavily using wiltel, who are probably the worst around at this point. interestingly enough, they're still charging the same extortionate prices for transfer. wanna hear something funny? one of the founders started a budget dedicated server company to compete with rackshack and guess what transit they were using? you heard it right, they were selling boxes for $119/mo with 1tb transfer on the same transit mix as rackspace. makes you think, eh?
there is nothing wrong with co-locating in different datacenters, especially if you're trying to get your clients as many /24 unique ips as possible. i sure as all hell would rather host with gotwebhost than webair - why does webair do any public hosting anyway? surely, their spamhosting operation should be making them enough dosh. how does anyone run mailservers on webair ip space anyway? they're blacklisted everywhere.
yes, all hosting is reselling, unless you're hosting with a tier 1 carrier. but why would you want to do that? unless you've got a fairly large operation, you should never even consider purchasing transit from tier 1 carriers directly - all bar none have absolutely horrible support and you're much better off going with a solid tier 2 who will do multihoming for you.
if you're a small (under 10 boxes) dedicated server client or virtual hosting client, your number 1 priority in a host is finding clueful people. if they know what they're doing, are honest people and charge enough to be able to afford not to cut any corners, you're golden.
have there been any specific complaints about the quality of service provided by gotwebhost?
