It's just to ask your hosting company to set up mod_flowmo for you, piece a cake for them.
I have it set up like this:
Domain pointed to my nameservers.
Domain added to the mod_flowmo enabled Apache.
In httpd.conf I have set up how much traffic that should come in to each of the mod_flowmo enabled domains. If you set the limits too high on the domains the SE's might sink your server when they are crawling. If it's too low.... not as much traffic as if the limits were set higher. You have to find the perfect balance for You.
When everything is set up, you turn it on in your .htaccess "FlowMo on".
Then it's just to tweak the traffic levels to find what works best for you.
