Bullshit Trax, very easy to answer. The hard part is finding a quality movie site that offers trials and is willing to answer with a rough estimate.

I've heard 50% from a few people, but never higher. Wondering if that's the ceiling, or if there are people out there with higher conversion rates.

bullshit - no generic movie paysite is doing 50% conversions from trial. and not 40% unless you've bundled a shitload of other sites with it.

there are people doing more then 50% trial to full but they have limited trial member areas where you have to upgrade to see everything.

40%+ is with an upgrade feature, 50% is good with this, 60% is damn good.

Our 7 day trial converts to full at around 55% but our site is amateur extreme, and we have plenty of content. I would think 30% or above is pretty good.

I wonder if the longer trials have any significant effect on conversion rates from the surfer forgetting about it over that week versus say a 3-day trial where cancelling "in time" is at the forefront of their minds...
