    Why don't starving africans move by the coast?

    Where they can fish and stuff?

    Also, is it just me, or from all the money collected worldwide for starving africans, only bits get delivered from that aid to them?

      The money never gets there, all the foundations that take donations are either more or less big scams or some dictator, military, tribe leader or foreign organization / helper in africa takes the money.

      Africa is reigned by chaos and a few who take it all, beside the areas where mainly white people live like parts of south africa.

      Donation business is big business run by hypocrites and scammers.

          The only place in Africa that i would even consider living in would be Botswana. The above poster is correct. Africa is a shithole and sending money doesn't do a thing because every person along the chain is taking their cut. What's left at the end is handed over to corrupt governments. The people who need it the most will never see it.

              This is the true reality and the main problem in the poor countries worldwide. You've got a bunch of elite political or military people running the purse strings that siphon it all off before it gets to the folks that really need it and even when some money does trickle through its just a trickle.

                                      the real reason is africa needs to keep poor....the area is rich in minerals, the world needs its diamonds & gold & oil....and its alot cheaper without a unified government of any sort, & having lots of slave labor present

                                                          If so, and i did live there. Sure i would go move by the sea.

                                                          Simply i would pick up my worldly possessions (naturally balancing them on my head) and walk north across 2600 miles of desert, most likely taking the scenic route via Lake Chad,a quick tour through Manda national park and on up to the Tibetsi mountains in Niger before decending into the saraha desert.

                                                          After the 1000 mile or so walk across the desert, two countries and half a continent, i would climb 10,000 feet up the Atlas mpountains before decending into Algiers for a quick breather prior to my swim across the Mediteranean sea to spain where i would fish and shop in between shopping trips to Harvey Nics and Harrods in london.

                                                                                                          They dont have to move to the coasts to get food. In a lot of places in africa they have great soil for farming, its just not utilized. I think its in Zaire where they use less than 10% of the potential soil to grow crops. If they used all they would be able to feed all of southern africa without a problem, yet a lot of the population still starve.

Nobody every thinks about the horrible hardship that goes into mining the raw diamonds over there. All they think about is how pretty it is and/or how big a baller they are for buying it. Sadly, some of those people in Africa (and other parts of the world) are working in slave labor camps to get these stones.

                                                                                                                                                                          I don't wear gold or diamonds... or buy it because of those exact reasons. Though as one person living in the Midwest I really can't do much to stop it all but I'll be dammed if I will support it. That's the least I can do.

                                                                                                                                                                              And let me add that anyone who has a "brilliant idea" on how to feed these starving countries, go and visit one. Go to ground zero where its all going down. Go to the shelters and camps. Then try to come up with some ideas.
