My mums fiancee has to stop. He had an angine attack two weeks ago. He's already cut down from 60 per day to around 10 or 12 per day. To me thats helluva good for someone who has been smoking for 40 years!!
He has a smokes clinic tonight and in the not too distant future I hope he can stop.Comment

Quit 3 months ago after smoking 2 packs a day for 10 years. Easier than I thought it would be.

i cant even remember when i quit now - it's so long ago
but i did a have a cigar relapse a couple of years ago - that was coz i was drinking very haevily and if i drink - I smoke cubans
so i had to give up the drinking and i stopped with the cigars
i cant STAND the smell of cigarettes even if its just the smell on someone else it makes me sick -
but ohhhhhhh how i long for a cuban ...
I cant though .. coz if i do i'll drink - and then i'll smoke more cigars and get caught in a vicious cycle
been strong over 3 years now
