me: i place an order for some biz cards right now, i get them no later than wed

kinko's: oh yea we can do that as long as theyre white stock and black letters
me: great, Ill be by to order in ten min, your sure they'll be done by wed im in a crunch ..
kinkos: well, we'll have to get a proof done which takes 24hrs to do which would be wed then we print them, so really you wont have your cards done till thurs or fri ..
me: friday? so you really dont have a 24 hr service then at all and you cant gaurantee thursday
