Some people submit galleries, some people are smart and register or buy typos.

I don't see a big problem with it, if she wants them she can buy them, or sue the owner. It looks like she doesn't care, or she would have done it already.

a typo is a typo... it would be a dead url if it wasn't going somewhere else, either way, it wouldn't be going to persiankitty's page so it's not really any lost traffic to her.

I don't say there is a problem, I was just wondering what a webmasters view is on someone else taking advantage of your name/brand (even though its a typo)

I know this is perhaps not the most ethical way to get traffic, when you profit of someone else's name and redirect to a completely different site.

But many people simply don't care about it, and I hate the attitude "OMG, I found a typo of a popular site who's owner is respected on GFY, I will make a thread about it".

But actually I don't think you meant it that way.
