Wilt was much more dominating. Had he played on the Celtics instead of Russell, he would have won a dozen NBA titles.

More recently, Larry Bird was a better shooter than Jordan, a better passer, and also a better rebounder. On the defensive end, though, Jordan had an obvious edge.

Jordon was the best ever.

Kobe has the potential to be like Mike, but he's not up to that level yet.

This season we'll see if Kobe has what Michael had. Now that Shaq is gone and Kobe will have to step up and be THE man for the team, this will be his true test.

If Kobe can take over games like Jordon did, then all he has to do is win at least 2 more championships and we'll make comparisons.

Wait 10 years and then ask me. Kobe already has 3 rings. More then Jordan had at his age. Kobe also has more records then Jordan did at 25. Jordan was the best of all time. No doubt. But if Kobe is innocent I think he will make a run at Jordan. Its too early to even compare them yet.

at the same age... kobe's got a better all-around game then jordan did.

in his early years MJ was strictly attacking the rim... jordan didnt get is killer turnaround until he got older... when he was younger.. the way to D-up jordan was to push him to shoot instead of letting him drive.

bottom line is.. let Kobe play 10yrs .. .then compare the 2 after each has had 10yrs of NBA in them.

i'll give MJ one thing.. tho.. he was more explosive on attacking the rim than Kobe is.

As with many of today's NBA players... i think kobe relies on the refs too much at times. He needs to just attack the rim hard... instead of the fancy smanshy double clutch shots sometimes.

You seem to forget passing and rebounding. Bird was the best passing forward in history and a terrific rebounder. Jordan was the best one-on-one player in the history of the game, but his passing and rebounding were only slightly above average.
