We did program it....its 100% ready to go. The Cron just has to be turned back on....but Lens has been pretty busy with 2257. Been trying to schedule a talk with him to see if we can finally get this going now that june 23rd has come and gone.....thought i'd try the board to see if he was awake

there are a few vb stats packages that can be added to the existing board.... it pulls from the existing database and requires no spidering what-so-ever... much less a separate domain name.

In fact, I even wrote a custom stats package for another adult board.

So if GFY was ever to go the stats route, I'd think that would be the way to do it.

Set up replication to a separate server 'stats.gfy.com' - that way there's no load on the main server and people can beat the shit out of that server. Also a good solution for search 'search.gfy.com'..

I dont think its such a bad idea... Very clean graphics.. At the very least lens should hire you to redo the top. I like the gfy lady and all , but she is a bit pixely.

I think lens wont want it just because he doesnt have 100% control over it.

Are you interested in baseball statistics? If your answer is no, then you probably think this is dumb...and i would be on boat. But back when the site was live it was just kinda "cool" to take a look....

And whoever told me to get a clue or whatever. Do a search, lens expressed an interest. The final version would in all likelyhood be done directly from the MYSQL database instead of spidering and probably would be a sub-domain......But there is a voiced interest from webmasters who contribute to GFY AND GFY themselves....

We have come up with plenty of very unique ideas on our own....This was something I had made by my team ...on my dime....just as a fun contribution to the board. Some people would dismiss it but others would probably have fun checking it out everyonce in a while just for the hell of it. Nothing more, nothing less
