From what I know all registars get domains on a first come first serve basis. If xxxregistry gets a domain then the person who preordered it from their site gets that name, otherwise, they get refunded. However, I ponder there will be hundreds of registrars selling and competing for .xxx domain names when they are become available. I guess there is nothing to lose by preregistering a name with them, just don't get your panties in a bundle.

Interesting how they are collecting the registration fee (unknown at this time, as stated by them) and the pre-registration fee. So they've made up their own registration fee before they've stated that they even know what the fee is.Originally posted by Paraskass

if they reg a top xxx domain for you... they will keep it and send you a "Sorry, didn't get that domain you wanted" letter and they'll gladly refund your $5.
