    Big Brother Live Feeds

Yeah, I'm lame, so sue me. So, Thursday night I was kind of depressed and not having any fun so I got a little wild and crazy and signed up for the live feeds for Big Brother. I was just going to do the three-day trial...but it was a lot more fun than I expected, so I'm sticking around for a month. (But that's ALL.)

So, fess up - anybody else enjoying this total time-waster?

Ooh, I think somebody just turned over in bed....off to check the feed...

the live feeds are what made the UK version of Big Brother (which I still say is better...lol)

It can get sadly addictive and the worst thing is that you know yu are being sad but don't stop.

PLEASE LET THIS THREAD GET OFF PAGE #1 SOON.

I don't want my girl to see such things exist. I hated enough when she HAD to see it daily for 30 minutes or how long that lasts...
        ..and I'm off.

Well, from what I've read (cough) the UK version is FAR more entertaining than our USA version. I've watched every season (why? WHY?) except the second (which, rumor has it, was the best) and never watched the live feeds before. I just got to the point where I felt like I was missing out on some weird counterculture thingy...and I gave in. And it's a lot of fun, I must admit. So far I'm avoiding the temptation to watch their every move, but tomorrow's my day "off", so we'll see what happens. Bathe the dogs in 110 degrees with above average humidity, or watch famewhores make fools of themselves? It's a toughie...

I know what you mean, though...there are dozens of forums devoted to recapping the live feeds, and the recappers clearly hate what they've become...yet they continue on. I fear that could be me, if I'm not careful.

last year they showed the US big brother right after ours and I found the US one to be very tame and stagey compared to the UK one. I didn't like the nomination process compared to the UK one. The twist of putting the ex-es in was good but beyond that there didn't seem to be much chance for totally unpredictable things to happen like happened this year in the UK when the whole thing turned into a bar room brawl.

This year's US Big Brother has definitely been the most entertaining one yet. I have the feeds as I do every year but I'm not watching them as much as previous years. Usually the feeds are good and the TV show sucks, but this year the TV show has been much better than previous years.

Any place for those of us in the US to watch the UK version? DVD perhaps?

I've been enjoying the TV show. It's no substitute for Survivor, but it's not too bad. Plus it's on twice a week (else it would need to be condensed twice as much), so it's not too long to wait.

You've read it, you can't unread it.

suprnova.org search for Big Brother (make sure you go to .org, NOT .com or .net). You'll find all the UK and US episodes. The UK version has separate Diary Room episodes. You'll need a BitTorrent client to download.

I don't know. I did find out that they were re-showing last years UK BB in Finland this year after their version was done. So, I am guessing it is available somewhere. This year's just ended on Friday but incause you do see it I won't say who won. Skip BB 4, that was boring. This one (BB 5) and BB3 were the best. This year the hook was that Big Brother went evil and randomly tortured the housemates which made for good tv.

                                Actually it's on 3 times a week.
Saturday (food competition/eviction nominations), Tuesday (Power of Veto competition) and live eviction show on Thursday (which also includes Head of Household competition live).
