The group can be used for discussion, (although there's a link to the message board for that), and each daily lesson is being posted there to send out to everyone on the list as a mailing group. Use whatever tools you can on the group to learn, as long as you're learning, that's what the tools are there for!
Just no flaming or completely asinine posting, and you're fine. Post, read, learn and let's make some money!
