No! -- did not know that. Was that covered in Heart of Darkness -- ? -- I was surprised enough to learn that Harvey Keitel, not only got the Willard role, but that production commenced with him in the role -- and Coppola decided it wasn't working -- NOW THAT'S BALLS -- not to mention commitment to one's creative vision. I see Francis at his restauant in SF all the time. Great man.
