Do you have to pay just to submit your site to a search engine? Because I cant find where just to submit a site at they all want money? www.hotbot.com www.lycos.com www.excite.com just to name a few?

If you get ONE gallery listed on thehun , google and yahoo will list your domain the very next day * providing your gallery has a link back to your main domain

Yahoo directory listings can be worth it.
Some search engines actually penalize domains that pay to be listed * if they dont continue to pay more *
make a clean site, get it listed on dmoz.org
