Barefootsies... I think your problem has something to do with a check that the program performs when it launches. It looks to see if another copy is running on the network and then won't start if there is. It might also verify the serial number if connected to the Internet.

It's some parse error if memory serves saying something about needing .NET 1.01 or lower. When I changed computers, I got (not by choice) XP SP2. Something in the .NET was screwy. Worked fine on SP1.
There have been a few versions of .NET since the 1.01, and I did manage to track that down as well. None of it worked, so I just switched back to Premiere for the encoding part. Still a shame. Definately a noticable difference.
