Santa Needs 34 Microseconds for Each House and Lives in Kyrgyzstan

...people were paid for this study?

A consultancy firm in Sweden has done some math and concluded that Santa Claus needs 34 microseconds per house and must live in Kyrgyzstan to make it around the world on time. Santa's home town is a long-debated issue.

Consultancy firm Sweco said: "We estimated that there are 48 people per square kilometer on Earth, and 20 metres between each home. So if Santa leaves from Kyrgyzstan and travels against the Earth's rotation he has 48 hours to deliver all? presents."

To make the trip in those 48 hours, Santa's reindeer travel at 5,800 kilometers per second.
