Growing up I had kimchee quite a bit, and when I visited Korea I had a chance to try all of the food in the native land. Unfortunately, I was 11 at the time and didn't know how to take in the travel.
Besides, my trip was always overshadowed by a small, fraile woman forcefully yelling and mispronouncing my name (she never could get it correct, even to this day) and smacking the shit out of me for shits and giggles. Luckily, that didn't scar me.
