He likely just grew up in a very conversative family that wasn't open about sex, or that sex was frowned upon, or something happened to him. It's like not his fault he has his current views. Everyone's opinion is based on what they believe, and what they believe is what they see and hear, and what they see and hear comes from their environment; family is generally the biggest factor.
