So I got myself a new laptop. I never work on a desktop, I use a laptop for everything. I had a great little Toshiba I've been working on for a year and a half, wireless KB and mouse all the goodies...
I cannot say enough good things about a Toshiba Satellite.
Anyway, I got this Compaq. Little bit faster, bigger, more HD, memory etc.. Moved all of my files to it, got all set up and I decided to format this little Toshiba and sell it. It's in great condition and it always has worked real well. At this point, I may still like it better than this Compaq.. so..
I get out my WinXP Pro disc and start to format. I get to a point that tells be to press "ESC" to continue, so I press it and nothing.. hmm. My only option is to repair so i try that.
Well, of course I end up with the same C:\ drive.. so I go thru this about 10 times... No "ESC".
So I dig out my Win 98 startup floppy. Gonna blast this fucker outa there..
A:\FDISK and all that. Now it want's me to "ESC". Fuck. ECS won't work. So I puuuuussssssshhhhh on it and wiggggllllleeee it and nothing. I tried everything.
Fuck, I've been using the ESC key for a year and a half, right ?...
So my wife comes in the kitchen as I have a screwdriver taking screws out because I'm gonna take this fucking little keyboard shitter out of here and see what the fuck is the major problem..
That's when she says "why don't you just plug another keyboard into the PS2 ?"
LOL, it never dawned on me that for a year and a half, I've used my wireless board 99% of the time
