How you can make something BAD into something WONDERFUL
So ... it was 6 AM at Cybernet in San Diego. There's a banging on the door next to mine. I peek out with my first cuppa joe just poured, resplendent in my bright red moo moo and only a bit annoyed that my neighbors were locked out. 3 guys were standing/swaying there with a key in hand and the door they were beating on was opened as far as the security latch would allow. When I asked What the Heck was going on, they told me the others in their room wouldn't wake up. So peeking into said room and seeing sleeping bodies I allowed the least drunk of the trio to hop my balcony to get in.
How embrassing when I found out later that day, that those guys were booked in a room down the road .. and the door was only opened that far because the continued thumping broke the lock. I can't tell you all how relieved I was that the real owners of the room didn't hold the behavior of the confused numbskulls against me and I did my best to smooth the situation over with some friendly chat and sharing of beer.
As we BS'ed over some cold ones, the subject of this board came up. I told the big fella about how when I first introduced myself on this board the members told me to Go Fuck myself. Well, being an ole gal, who hates being cussed at- I never returned. My story was a great amusement to both the gents and I was informed I should have been honored since it was the board's way of saying welcome.
No wonder they were so amused, since I was sitting there with Sic and Randy without a clue of who they were. So here I am again, educated and ready to steel myself to the welcomes I hope to recieve.
My most humble thanks to both of them for forgiving my error and making both roy and I feel very welcome.
So remember dear readers when it comes to this biz...
