Bose somehow managed to make general population belive that they can break the laws of physics and make small speakers sound good. Have you noticed though that Bose is never sold in stores next to other brands and places their producs in special Bose rooms? That's done so that you couldn't really compare it to other equipment. Also, next time you're in a Bose store being "wowed" by their sound, ask the sales guy to see their control room. I bet you won't see your off the shelf equipment there.

Well Bose really has the best audio stuff, BUT the music mixdown and production quality for every CD you own has to be really good otherwise you won't really notice any difference between some cheap speakers and the radio.The production quality of chart hiphop stuff is normally as good as the money they make, but if it goes down to underground stuff and mixtapes forget it.The Bose radios are normally made for classical orchestral stuff.

Bose is all about quality and sound balance. Not about thumping bass or loud volumes. If you want a great quality system with excellent sound at normal listening volumes get Bose. I have both the $3k+ surround system for my theatre and the desktop CD player.

I had to spend a fortune to rip out yhe Boise shit out of my Corvette and have it replaced with Alpine..
Fucking mess.
It wasnt a simple take the shitty speakers and deck out and put in Alpine. It was the fucking wires throughout the car as well.
They use a totally different ohm kinda wireing which makes it impossible to switch or upgrade to something that actually has some power..
Boise in the home may be ok, but in the car it fucking sucks. BAD!!.
No power at all. ZERO. And they are proud of that fact. If all you do is listen to jazz i guess its ok. But its very pussy like.
And when you want to upgrade they make it nearly impossible.
had to spend a pretty penny just to rip the wires out of the doors, the floor, and all over in the panels just to get regular wiring in so I could get a regualr AMP and Alpine speakers and a real deck in.
Fucking mess.

Boneprone: You're right, those bose car stereo systems blow.
As far as alpine goes, I like their headunits but it sucks when you've got all highs until you get the headunit up to about 18+ on the volume control.....
Id go with Pioneer for a headunit with a car...Your Paysite Partner
