Not exactly, It's Risk Vs Reward.
Lets assume you make 1.50 per transaction, half of that goes to the place with the machine, leaving you with 75cents per transaction, and you still even have to give some of that up from what I remember, to whoever is processing your atm requests, leaving you with probably 40 cents..
You have to do all maintenance, you have the risk, the stocking it, the dealing of getting it into places etc etc.
