Canadian-born Dorothy Stratten was named the 1980 Playmate of the Year, just months before she was murdered by her estranged husband. She was only 20 years old. He shot her in the face with a shotgun before commiting suicide.
Mariel Hemingway played Dorothy Stratten in the bio movie "Star 80".
